I mean, I know this show is supposed to be about action and comedy, but I still have NO PROBLEM with romance with any show that I watch. As long as it's written right (witch is why I blame ciro and co for the romance and girls' writing in TMNT), I wouldn't mind romance in TMNT at all. It means action and comedy is the main focus in the series, that doesn't mean that's all it has to be about. Even if romance is a little subplot in the series, that's still good to me. And it's not only romance I'm talking about.
How about other genres like drama, suspense, angst and other great genres other then action and comedy? How about more back stories or more human allies for our turtles? How about focusing on OTHER THINGS other then the turtles, April and Karai all the time? Now I know what your going to say; "Well TMNT is not for you if you watch it for those things" or "this show is for kids" or "The show is called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" or even "This show is prefect the way it is. Go away".:bademoticon: Well first off, from what I heard, the other series of TMNT was way better in writing, especially in 2003 (especially with the characters) and it also mange to be suitable for kids. In fact, it seems like 2003 is all what I expect from TMNT 2012. Secondly, so what if I want more out of TMNT 2012? It's my thoughts and I WILL wish for whatever I want.
I don't wish for TMNT 2012 to be cancelled or anything, just better in writing, that's all. It being a kids show is NO EXCUSE AT ALL to fuck up whenever you want. I'm just saying that TMNT can be partly better with all of the things that I stated bellow. Yes, this is a kids show, but kids aren't the only fans of TMNT you know (and even if they were the only fans, this is why the writing SHOULD be better, to teach kids better lessons and to show that kids AREN'T dumb). Seriously, in my opinion Naruto, Steven Universe and Legend Of Korra is all what TMNT 2012 should be. They are wonderful shows and I wish I could say that same for 2012 of TMNT, but it's just some things in it are just...I don't know anymore.
As horrible and toxic as SOME 2003 fans and SJWs are, TMNT 2012 DOES have flaws. And also from what I've heard, this isn't the first time Ciro has done things like this. Of course I don't doubt that he's a good writer, I just wish he would have more help in certain aspects of TMNT 2012. But I like to hear your thoughts about romance and other things in TMNT. Hi guys! Sorry for abandoning you all (I think it's been at least a year???). I've been dealing with real life issues and personal things. Also, It's just...well, to make it short, I simply just lost interest in being on DA. I can't promise that this will change, but I do have some inspiration to make another meme (I Don't Want This Character To Reedem) and maybe even post a couple of things that I've been wanting to post (things related to Ask Sonata Dusk (YES, it's still active, but very little), more memes that I want to fill out etc.). the "romance" in TMNT is loose, it still has a good character development (only the most important) and good use of drama, but about the "romance" are couples based on "shipping" mikey, Renet and shinigami are only crush children not reach anything, apritello is one of the worst couples in TMNT, is dysfunctional and tedious, could be interesting but fatal development, the first season is only based on a childish whim of donie joke in second season tried to give more drama and tension but it was only by of history, I never really built as loving relationship, then this capril, the relationship of her and casey at the beginning is another joke based on jealousy of donatello (and an alleged love triangle) yet this relationship develops subtly (and appears to be more functional than apritello). luckily this "love triangle" is forgotten in the third season (with only brief cameos), it really is obvious she and casey are couples, like donatello can overcome dipper and pearl. I read and karai meh is a rivalry that becomes family drama (which is relevant to the story) does not develop as "romance" there is only one crush of leonardo (like a batman and catwoman) although there are always the plot twist and such might be canon, but for now the most obvious is that this couple does not exist. Raph and mona is a predetermined couple is not developed anything, tried to give a conflict in an episode and has since only cameos, it is still interesting to see what happens with this (like diego and shira form ice age, ruby and saphire).
